AFK Free

Members mark themselves as away with /afk and an optional note ("back tonight"). The channel is told that they are away, and that message stays. Whoever mentions them or replies to one of their messages is told, with the note and since when. Their first message on the server afterwards gets a welcome-back card as its answer: how long they were away, who mentioned them, what was said, files as links, and a button to each message.

Commands

<required> [optional] - "who may use it" is Discord's default; a server's admins can change it per command under Server Settings > Integrations.

Settings

Everything you can set for this module in the dashboard, in the order the page shows it.

Limits

• An AFK note is 200 characters at most.
• The 25 latest mentions are kept for the welcome-back card (more are counted), and nothing longer than 30 days.

Good to know

• No ping storms: mentions of the same away member are answered at most once in the time you choose (5 minutes by default), for the whole server. The mentions in between are still collected for the card.
• A message within 10 seconds of /afk does not end it ("gone for dinner"). Messages of bots and webhooks never do.
• The card shows the 10 latest mentions and counts the rest. What was said in a channel not everyone can read (a staff channel) is not repeated in a public one: the card only says where, and the button opens it for whoever may read it.
• If Pangobot cannot write in the channel where the member comes back, the card comes as a direct message instead.
• The note goes through your AutoMod rules, and neither the note nor a quoted message can ping anybody, show a link or carry formatting.
• What is kept: the note and up to 25 mentions per away member - until they are back, the mentioning message is deleted, they leave the server, or 30 days have passed.
