Twitch, Kick, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit and any RSS feed - live alerts and new posts, each announced in your own embed.
Announces new YouTube videos, Reddit posts and entries of any RSS/Atom feed (blogs, podcasts, Mastodon, Bluesky, Steam news ...) - each source in its own channel, with its own text, embed and role ping. Twitch and Kick live alerts are part of the module where the team has switched them on.
Setting it up
- Add a source, choose the channel and, if you like, a role to ping. For Twitch, Kick, TikTok and Instagram give the name, @name or simply paste the link to the channel or profile - a link to a single video, post or reel, or a TikTok share link, is refused with a note, because it does not say which account is meant.
- Write the text and the embed. Put
{url}into the text above the embed if you want Discord's own video player under the message.

Live alerts
Posted within about two minutes of a stream starting. A stream that drops and comes back within half an hour is not announced twice.

Limits
- Twitch streamers: up to 10
- Kick streamers: up to 10
- YouTube channels: up to 10
- TikTok accounts: up to 5
- Subreddits: up to 10
- RSS / Atom feeds: up to 10
- Only posts from the last 36 hours are announced, at most 3 per feed per check.
Good to know
- TikTok and Instagram are only offered once the Pangobot team has set them up. Any other feed address works under RSS.
- Feeds are checked every five minutes, live streams about every two. Feeds from all servers are checked side by side and servers take turns; a server whose feeds answer very slowly is checked after everyone else.
- Each feed gets at most 12 seconds per check, redirects included; one that takes longer counts as "could not be read". If a feed cannot be read several times in a row, Pangobot checks it less often - it skips one check, then two, four and so on, down to about once an hour - and goes back to normal as soon as it answers. The server's error list says so.
- Titles and texts from a source are shown as written, but links hidden behind words (
[text](link)) are not made clickable. The post's own address ({url}) always works. - Only what appears after you add a source is announced - never a backlog, also when the source was followed before or the module was switched off for a while. (A Reddit "hot" feed announces posts as they reach hot.)
- Every placeholder of a source works in the text above the embed as well, written in any case. A stream without a category shows "no category".
- A ping role that was deleted in Discord is taken off the source when you next save; a source whose channel was deleted is named under Recent problems.
- YouTube needs the channel ID (starts with
UC): channel page > "...more" > Share channel > Copy channel ID. - Reddit posts marked NSFW are skipped unless the target channel is age-restricted.
- A stream that drops and returns within half an hour is not announced twice.
- A role can only be pinged if everybody may ping it ("Allow anyone to @mention this role" in its settings), or if you may ping every role yourself. @everyone cannot be pinged this way.
