Troubleshooting

The usual causes when something does not work, and how to check each of them.

The slash commands do not show up

A module's commands exist only while the module is enabled on the server. /modules shows the state.
Discord can take a minute to show new commands; restarting the Discord app (Ctrl+R) forces it.
Under Server Settings > Integrations > Pangobot a command may be restricted to roles or channels.
With a bot of your own (Custom branding) the commands belong to your bot - invite it with the link from the dashboard.

The bot cannot see or write in that channel. Give its role View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links there.
For role changes: the bot's role must be above the role it should give or take, and it needs Manage Roles.
For timeouts, kicks and bans: the target's highest role must be below the bot's, and nobody can act on the server owner.
Switch on Show the technical reason under Settings to see Discord's own error text while you set things up.

After changing it in the dashboard, press Post / update again - the message in Discord is only replaced then.
If the message was deleted in Discord, post it again from the dashboard.

Is a channel set and the module enabled? An empty channel switches that message off.
With Wait until the member accepts the server rules, roles come only after the rules screen - and only if Rules Screening is on in your server.
Bots get the Roles for new bots, not the member roles.

The moderation log reads the audit log: the bot needs View Audit Log.

Only what appears after you added the source is announced - never a backlog.
YouTube needs the channel ID (starts with UC), not the handle.
Reddit posts marked NSFW are skipped unless the target channel is age-restricted.

The team has switched it off for everybody, usually to fix something. It comes back by itself; the status page and the News say more.

Allow cookies for the dashboard address - the login is a cookie. Private windows forget it when they close.

Ask on the Discord server linked at the bottom of this page, with the server ID and what you tried. Never post a bot token or a product key there.
